When it comes to enjoying the good life, all things are not equal. Many people have dietary constraints that limit choices, meaning that joining in festivities and celebrations is often difficult.

The founders of Australia’s first organic grain-free bakery, Seeds of Life, addressed that need last year with the launch of the Rainbow Bar servery in their shop at The Kitchens, Robina.

Already renowned for their organic, grain and gluten free breads, bakes, slices and desserts, the new menu of ‘meals to go’ is open from 11am daily, providing absolutely delicious and nutritious lunches for health-conscious shoppers and workers.

One of their latest initiatives is a Seeds of Life High Tea once a month, three tiers of delicious organic, preservative-free, vegan and gluten-free treats. It’s a game changer for those who need a little organic indulgence! It’s also a way to taste a range of dishes available at the Rainbow Bar.

Seeds of Life was founded by Heidi and Peter Wiltshire, Heidi telling us that due to her own health and autoimmune issues, she and Pete had begun living a paleo lifestyle in 2013, baking their own plant-based bread which was allergy free.

Acutely aware of the gap in the market for nutrient-dense non-allergenic foods through her own experience, in June 2015 Heidi, a former clothing marketing manager, began selling her keto loaves at the Marina Mirage Markets. Heidi’s bread was an immediate hit. The couple opened their own pop-up market stall in The Kitchens at Robina Town Centre, progressing to a shop front in 2017, together with an online store.

“We’re so passionate about serving the people of the Gold Coast high quality, certified organic goods free of grains, gluten, yeast, refined sugar, dairy, eggs, soy and preservatives. We focus on simple plant-based foods and ingredients that fuel their bodies with optimum nutrition without sacrificing on flavour,” Heidi tells us.

As a certified-organic bakery, Seeds of Life is a ‘go to’ place for coeliacs, gluten-free and vegan diners. Their exclusive bakery range of 34 signature products includes savoury breads, such as the popular Thor loaf, sweet breads such as Banana bread, cakes, puddings such as their famous Sticky Date Pudding, wraps, pizzas, cookies, muffins, biscuits and other sweet treats, bake-at-home mixes, and even a Vegemite substitute called EveryMite. Their menu focuses on colourful wholesome meals that are as delicious as they are nutritious, including mouth-watering raw desserts.

Now Seeds of Life is launching a ‘Pay it Forward’ campaign entitled Bread of Love, a way to gift those in need to improve their general health and wellbeing. Details can be found on the Seeds of Life website.
