Magical music and awesome art: Twilight markets return

*** DATE CHANGE ***

Please note that due to weather concerns, CBD Sundown: Twilight Markets has moved to Friday 10 November. Updated information regarding lineup will be provided closer to the date!

CBD Sundown is back on Friday 27 October from 5pm to 8pm at Nerang Street, Southport for the highly anticipated Twilight Markets.

Indulge in a range of delicious food truck options plus the popular favourites from QLD Vegan Markets and grab a drink from the pop up bar.

Discover unique treasures at the Desert Digs Vintage Market while immersing yourself in the live and local music performances by Gold Coast musical royalty Georgia Hoareau, Eimhin Healy and Sunny Luwe.

Dani Teveluwe - aka Sunny Luwe - is fresh off the back of her successful debut album launch for the whimsical 'Flowers In The Sky', and seriously feeling the love.

"The Sunny Luwe crew is stoked to be bringing the good vibes and fun times for CBD Sundown on the 27th and I am grateful to be playing on a line up with Georgia (again) and Eimhin for the first time," Dani told us.

"The GC music scene is really amazing and the locals are in for quite a treat!"

As for what audiences can expect...

"A Sunny Luwe set is fun, poppy and a real great time - expect to see vintage clothes, dorky dancing (thank you Amy Santiago) and feeling like you’re playing in a 70s/90s hybrid world. We will be playing a heap of tracks from my new album, 'Flowers in the Sky' - plus some fresh new songs too!" she continues.

"I have been really intentional with crafting a set that makes people feel good, as that’s what I love about music. You can be having a crappy day - but if you blast your favourite song - every thing seems better.

I want my set to show people that music really is magic.

Musical prodigy Georgia Hoareau is also super pumped for the event.

“I’m super excited to play CBD Sundown on October 27th. I’ve played at CBD Sundown before and I had a blast getting to walk the lovely markets and get some tasty food after my set," she says.

"People can expect easy listening singer song-writer tunes from me and my keys. I’ve got a new single releasing in early November a couple weeks after CBD Sundown, I’ll be playing the new song so if you want to get a sneak peek you can come check it out!"

Don’t miss CBD Sundown's first ever art exhibition featuring a bevy of local artists which will provide patrons with the opportunity to immerse themselves in food, music and art all at the same time, as ever popular Vices brings the vibe.

Local artists being featured in the exhibition include The Gold Coast Art School (Southport), Smalls, Hues of Happy, Banana Chocolate and MOB students.

So mark your calendars and get ready for an evening of free entertainment and fun with friends and family at CBD Sundown Twilight Markets! Entry is free, open to all ages and it's pooch friendly, too.
