Think: a vibrant and immersive experience, featuring life-sized artworks and interactive displays, all plucked from the vivid mind of Gold Coast artist and leading Australian realist painter, Victoria Reichelt.
This collaborative exhibition takes 'getting lost in a book' to new heights. Colour Your Imagination – Just add books, invites adults and children alike to rediscover the enchanting beauty of libraries and their treasured contents.
Picture a colourful collection of giant books in an immersive library-inspired space. With nooks, places to climb and a reading trolley brimming with new reads.
This timely exhibition coincides with National Book Week, and showcases a celebration of art and books.
Drop in for a range of hands-on activities designed to engage the little ones and foster a love for art and reading. Animals hide throughout the Children's Gallery, perfect for a game of 'I Spy in the Library.' Colourful book arranging, creating artwork for a book title and 'Word Play' games with book block activities are all on the immersive agenda.
Explore the 'Never Ending Library' wall, visit book nooks begging to be cosied up in, and climb 'til your heart's content on the 'Floating Book Stack.' Victoria's even slipped in her interactive 'Book of Book Paintings' to get up close and personal with her remarkable artworks.
