Wicked live tunes, awesome food and EVERCLEAR: It’s summertime at Marketta

Miami Marketta is delivering the goods once again this Summer with a lineup stacked with an eclectic mix of live music and ticketed events, including the ever-popular Best Night Ever and a stop by alt-rockers Everclear.

Think laneway rock-outs, anniversary tours, indie-folk acts, to alt-rock international artists - there's truly something for everyone.

First up: BEST NIGHT EVER is returning to the Gold Coast this December.

Marketta is back with the Goldy's favourite end of year rockin' laneway mini-fest for the third year running on Sunday 18 December. Start your summer break right and get amongst it with Australia's best homegrown rock acts.

BEST NIGHT EVER 2022 will see eight acts perform across two stages with no set clashes. Join Hockey Dad, Ruby Fields, Pacific Avenue, Polish Club, West Thebarton, The Moving Stills, The Buoys and Rum Jungle for one insane day in the laneway!

Moving into the new year the team are straight into it and starting strong with The Whitlams 'Eternal Nightcap 25 Years' Anniversary Tour on Saturday 7 January. Expect to see the legendary Aussie album played in its entirety, followed by a greatest hits set.

The Gold Coast just can't get enough of Jack Botts, and he returns to his favourite Goldy venue, Miami Marketta, this January for his 'Dream On' East Coast AUS Summer 2023 Tour. Creating a brand of surf folk drenched in depth and substance, in just a handful of years, Jack Botts has gone from chippy-turned-busker, playing on Marketta's free live music Cargo Stage, to full-time touring musician and one of the fastest growing artists in the country.

Followed closely by a double-headliner show on Thursday 2 February by Sons Of The East x Kim Churchill - if indie-folk music is your thing get yourself to these upcoming gigs.

The return of international acts is something the Marketta crew don't take lightly and are stoked to announce Ty Segall touring Australia for the first time since 2014 with his colossal Freedom Band. Hot on the heels of his new album ‘Hello, Hi’ – a cosmic assortment of love songs flowering in righteous unconsciousness – Ty Segall & Freedom Band (Emmett Kelly, Mikal Cronin, Ben Boye and Charles Moothart) return to melt brains and hearts with Ty's signature blend of psyched-out jangle and space-rock fuzz.

American rock legends, Everclear are bringing their 30th Anniversary Tour to the coast on Friday 3 February. The band will perform their '90s alt-rock hits live in Marketta's Studio 56 and while it's a virtual surety that no Everclear gig is complete without a rendition of ‘Santa Monica’ and ‘Father of Mine,’ lately the band has found that exploring the full range of past material—especially the "deep cuts"—not only gives fans a rare treat, it also injects new life into the band's live dynamic.

Up next, the Californian rock band - OSEES (aka Thee Oh Sees, Oh Sees, OCS, The Oh Sees, etc) return to Miami Marketta this February off the back of 26th (!) album ‘A Foul Form’ and a reputation as one of the world's greatest live acts.
