The welcome return of BURLEIGH bEATS

Head along to Burleigh this Saturday for the ultimate street festival. Lively tunes, delicious food, kid’s zone, barefoot bowls and more signal the very welcome return of BURLEIGH bEATS.

Local restaurants and food trucks will be dishing out tasty treats from the 4pm kickoff. Grab yourself something yummy and set up at the Connor Street stage for an epic lineup of live music, featuring the stylings of Boysie Power, Gold Coast Drumline, A&J, Elliot Hahn, Joel Adams, and a rocking headline set by hugely popular locals The Burleigh Boys.

This is a unique opportunity to catch The Burleigh Boys in public, who are one of the coast’s most in-demand private event musicians. Their considerable musical talents mixed with their unique comedy stylings will see you dancing and laughing simultaneously.

Headed by Chriddy Black and Joel Adams, The Burleigh Boys can go from beautiful, soft and soulful background music to upbeat, party and dance floor music ranging from almost everything from 60’s to current music. You name it, they can do it.

It’s unsurprising, given their musical chops. Chriddy took the country (and the internet) by storm following his soulful audition on The Voice Australia 2019, amassing more than 2M total views in its first month online. Chriddy has really made a name for himself in the music scene and his achievements speak volume of who he represents as an artist.

Joel Adams burst onto the pop scene in 2015, when his debut single went viral around the world. Currently at over 600 million streams on Spotify, ‘Please Don’t Go’ is the song that kick-started an international journey into the deeply earnest and perceptive song writing that sees Joel emerging as one of the most talented and successful artists to come out of Australia.

Joel is super excited to be taking their show public, for the first time this year.

“We’ve got quite a few people who are keen to see us coming along to the event,” he tells us. “It’s going to be so much fun.”

So for people who haven’t yet had the pleasure of seeing these legends live, what can they expect?

“Lots of entertainment!” Joel laughs. “We throw a few jokes into every song, change a few lyrics here and there, that’s what we’re known for.

“We bring a little comedy and singalongs and good fun. Non-stop dancing, too.”

And it doesn’t end there, folks.

If you’re thirsty from all the dancing, the Precinct Brewery pop up bar and the Burleigh Bowls Cocktail bar will be on hand with the best kind of liquid refreshments. You can even shuck the shoes and have a round of barefoot bowls with your margarita.

Young ‘uns will not be short of entertainment either, with the dedicated kid’s zone fired up and ready to play. Kidlets can grow their juggling skills or get a taste for drumming with fun workshops throughout the event, and of course, face painters will be there to turn your little ones into their fave characters.

Roving performers will keep the fun rolling in between acts on the stage, and you’ll be able to find all manner of goodies to bring home thanks to the local retailers who are setting up stalls at the event, or staying open for later trading.

Oh, and did we mention there’s a fire show?
