Father's Day rolls around on Sunday 3 September. So you're likely on the lookout for ways to celebrate Dad, Pops, Papa and father figures alike, while supporting local businesses on the Gold Coast. Look no further. 

Quality time's the best gift this Father's Day. So skip the sock drawer additions, gadget go-tos and hobby top-ups.

Here are eight of the top ways to celebrate this Father's Day on the Gold Coast in 2023. 

Chow down at Citrique's seafood buffet lunch

JW Marriott do a lot of things phenomenally. Including, putting on a spread to spoil seafood-loving dads. And this year you can book your seat at their award-winning restaurant, Citrique for one heck of a chow down.

Sail the seas on a sunset cruise by Seaworld

Step aboard the ultimate cruise this Father's Day on the Gold Coast. With a complimentary welcome beer for Dad, this luxury vessel features a cranked barbie, air-conditioned lower deck and spacious rooftop lounge for a breathtaking front row seat for sunset. 

Expect a sausage sizzle with all the trimmings, as you spend a sun-soaked arvo with your Pa cruising from Surfers Paradise to the Gold Coast Broadwater. All while crooning to live tunes by local Gold Coast musicians for a nice 1.5 hours.

Beer-loving dads have likely already begged to head along to Hound & Stag Brewing Co.'s Brewing Experience this Father's Day.

Taste your way through 20+ craft beers brewed onsite and paired with a selection of dishes. Learn about the art of brewing, get a backstage pass to a full brewery tour and sink a few cold ones while you're at it.

Stroll around HOTA's farmers and artisan markets

The makers and growers at HOTA's markets know a thing or two about nourishing our vibrant community. And if your pops is all about green living, there's a plethora of local produce to bundle up and enjoy in the week ahead. Choose from a selection of speciality food trucks for lunch to enjoy by HOTA's accompanying lagoon. 

While you're at it, why not take him for a wander around the expansive HOTA gallery, all finished with a cold one at the rooftop Exhibitionist Bar.

Nibble and sip at Hyde Paradiso's brunch

If Dad's a bit old-fashioned, here's the perfect introduction to his first next-level brunch experience. Making it a highlight Father's Day event on the Gold Coast in 2023. 

The good times don't end with his welcome Maker's Mark No. 46 beverage. Hyde Paradiso's beachside brunch menu is brimming with a bunch of tasty treats. Think, eggs benny hash, pork belly and feta bites, charred chicken salad and spiced prawn rolls.

If you'll be on the norther end of the Gold Coast this Father's Day, head straight to Hope Island's own Boardwalk Tavern.

Dishes range from mouthwatering rump steak with BBQ bug, calamari and garlic prawns to lamb rump with roast vegetables, grilled pear and mint red wine jus. From just $39 for visitors and $37 for non-visitors.
