Upon entry, the atmosphere is refined with complimentary styling and ambience evoking a sense of groovy sophistication. The walls are adorned with shoppable iconic fine art prints, including American photographer of the moment, Slim Aarons, adding an extra layer of visual interest to the space.
At the helm is Head ‘Liquid’ Chef Rumtin Nouzat; a seasoned professional hailing from Sydney, who has brought his wealth of experience and creativity to the Gold Coast.
Rumtin's passion for mixology oozes throughout his intentionally curated menu, with each cocktail expertly crafted to complement the art on display. His passion and dedication to pushing beyond the norm transpire in the unique and experimental flavours found throughout the menu.
His commitment to quality and freshness is clear in the use of only the finest and most seasonal ingredients, hand-picked from local farmers' markets within the area. Each and every element of the cocktails are made in-house, with syrups and infusions prepared over several days to ensure optimal balance and harmony of flavours.
Navigating the menu is a multi-sensorial experience, engaging sight just as much as taste.
A standout from our recent visit is the signature cocktail ‘The Eye of the Beholder’, offering a symphony of flavours, with tequila reposado, Swiss aperitif, Australian vermouth, grilled pear and butter expertly balanced to create a truly unique and complex sip. The smoky notes of the grilled pear provide a delectable contrast to the boldness of the tequila, making for a truly memorable experience.
Another knockout choice is their reimagined take on the classic Clover Club, ' Makeup Mirror’. Featuring Adelaide gin, fortified wine, fresh raspberry, citrus and foam, this cocktail boasts a refreshing and fruity delight, with the gin and raspberry providing a perfect balance of sweet and tart.
In another flair of creativity, each week provides an impressive range of offerings worth the visit. On Wednesdays, they serve up wine and cheese pairing for $20, Fridays, they have $15 Margaritas and Negronis, featuring house-made syrups and infusions for a truly elevated experience. And on Saturdays, they host gin and tonic tasting boards for $18, featuring a selection of Applewood gins paired with Strangelove tonics and garnishes for a truly unique experience.
