Backing up Day One is never an easy feat. But, as always, FALLS Festival came through with the goods.
Here’s a recap of the creme-de-la-creme performances from Day Two…

SPACEY JANE
Arguably the hottest band from 2022, Spacey Jane brought a light and breezy set to the El Captian stage on Day Two. Their disposition was brimming with gratitude, as they flowed through their rock-infused discography while the sun set on Byron Parklands. The fans gathered, climbing on top shoulders and while belting out hits ‘Booster Seat’, ‘Lots of Nothing’ and ‘Feeding The Family’ with frontman Caleb Harper. The band was tight and experimental, often stopping to chat with the audience before rolling into their next tune.
PEGGY GOU
South Korean DJ diva, Peggy Gou, brought her signature blend of house and techno to the Galaxy tent. The crowd was heaving, locked, loaded and firing throughout her two hours' worth of deep basslines, groovy beats and soulful ditties. The energy remained high, while she moved through different dynamic ranges, genres and tempos seamlessly, bringing the pond of punters along for the journey. She finished with ‘Starry Night’, which just hits so much harder IRL. As to be expected.

JAMIE XX
Known for his big sounds and anthemic choruses, British DJ and producer Jamie XX, closed out Day Two of FALLS Festival at the El Captian stage. Notably one of the best DJ sets of the weekend, he brought his evocative electronic and intricate indie music mixes to the masses. Showcasing his own experimental productions, while mixing complimentary well-known melodies, bodies were dancing and moving throughout the entire immersive journey. A well-crafted performance of light and sound, displaying just how far electronic music can stretch for those willing to go the distance.
G-Flip captured by Joseph Mayers at Falls Festival Byron 2022/23
G-FLIP
Brimming with energy, Aussie singer-songwriter G-Flip jumped on stage and brought their punky-pop rock power to the El Captian stage. Knocking the performance out of the park with elevated stage presence, they banged on with catchy hooks, driving beats and powerful vocals that seem to only get tighter as the set rolled on. The band rinsed a raging-rock feel, with Flip smashing out an energetic drum solo to round out their performance.

SPECIAL MENTION: PALM SPRINGS
Although not an act, this pool palace was an absolute oasis for campers. Escaping the summer heat by going for a cool dip is an indescribable feeling. One, we were very grateful for. 5/5 stars.
