The heavy metal juggernaut that is Iron Maiden is headed to our shores, with their 'Legacy of the Beast' Tour in a few short months time and will have US Metal Core band Killswitch Engage as the support on all shows. Iron Maiden are rated as one of the most influential bands of all time. Their shows are big and so is the music.
Their sound is unique and they are a band that can’t be copied. The musicianship is amazing, and they are one band you need to see at least once in your lifetime. Sixteen studio albums since they were formed by bassist Steve Harris in 1975, their first studio album in 1980, they were leaders of the British New Wave of Heavy Metal. The stage shows are legendary, and their mascot “Eddy” has another incarnation on stage with this tour. The tour opened in 2018, and so far Iron Maiden have played to over two million people.
The Legacy Of The Beast Tour is being hailed by fans as the most extravagant and visually spectacular live show of the band's touring to date and with a decade-spanning set-list of fan favourites, this will be the must-see show of the year.
What will they play? Wow, with such a catalogue it must be a real battle with what to put in a set. I am sure we will hear 'The Trooper', 'Run to the Hills', and of course, they could not leave the stage without playing 'The Number of the Beast'. Whatever they play you can be guaranteed that you will see a great show from a bunch of musicians that are very proud and skilled at what they do, and I dare you not to sing along! It’s impossible not to!
Iron Maiden will play 5 massive arena shows in Australia starting on Friday, May 1 in Perth. The tour then heads to Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and finishes in Melbourne.
