We think everyone is just about ready for some Christmas cheer, don’t you? Fortunately, Gold Coast is really turning it on for the silly season, with carols all across the coast, from beaches to green spaces under the stars, and a few hidden gems.

Here’s a comprehensive list of Gold Coast Christmas Carols to get you in a festive mood.

Christmas Carols and Fireworks with Yahweh Disability Care 

27 November, from 5pm 

Head over for Christmas carols at Abbott Park, Parkwood on Sat 27 November with Yahweh Disability Care. There will be carols, food trucks, sausage sizzle, glow sticks for the kiddies and an exciting fireworks display.

Studio Village Community Carols

10 December, from 6.30pm

The gates open at 5.00pm for a 6.30pm show start, so come along early, grab a free glow stick pack for the kids, and set up nice and early with your picnic rug or camp chair. Hot chips and icecream will be available until 6.30pm but if you’d like something more substantial feel free to pack a picnic. Santa will be at the Carols with his friends Frosty, Rudolph and his favourite Elf.

Carols on the Green

2 December, from 5pm

Starting from 5pm, Christmas Carols will fill the air as talent such as Renae Suttie and Wes Taylor Duo take to the stage. Gather for a night under the stars on the Marina Lawn to enjoy a harmonious night of singing and dancing all while raising funds for local charity, ConnectKids. Take advantage of the free entertainment and grab a bite to eat at one of the surrounding venues.

Tugun Lights Up

4 December, from 4pm

Tugun Lights Up returns in 2021 for its ninth annual celebration. Dine under the stars at one of the fantastic local cafes or restaurants, check out the local window displays and special offers, or visit the Christmas market stalls. Plenty of children’s entertainment on offer throughout the program with Santa making a special appearance. Presented by Division 14 Cr Gail O’Neill in partnership with Community Bank Tugun, part of Bendigo Bank, Tugun Lights Up 2021 – a Tugun Progress Association event – will be a celebration not to be missed.

Elanora Community Christmas Carols 

5 December, 5pm to 8pm

Relax on the lawn under the stars and sing along to your favourite carols, with a live band. Lots of fun for the kids with activities, jumping castles, puppet shows and more! Entry opens at 5pm for food trucks and activities. Carols start at 6pm. Note: Bring a picnic rug or chair. This event is free but please register here.

Mayor’s Christmas Carols Gold Coast 2021 (Sold out)

4 December, 3pm to 9pm

The event may be sold out, but can you join the waitlist here, and experience the best highlights of the evening in a one-hour special on Saturday December 11 at 7pm on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Two of Australia’s most loved performers, Kate Miller-Heidke and Dami Im, will perform with an all-Queensland cast of local support acts, including: Warner Bros. Movie World’s Looney Tunes Christmas Show; David Devito; Frankie and the Holiday Seasons; the Brisbane City Gospel Choir and many more. This free family-friendly celebration will commence at 3pm with interactive kids fun including Santa and Looney Tunes meet and greets. The main show will kick off at 5pm and conclude with a festive fireworks finale at 9pm.

Currumbin Christmas Carols 

6 December, 5.30pm to 8pm

Presented by Division 14 Councillor Gail O’Neill – Currumbin Community Christmas Carols is a traditional Christmas carols concert held annually at Galleon Park, Currumbin Waters, and includes a plethora of children’s entertainment, tasty food trucks, an appearance by Santa and spectacular laser light show. North Burleigh Carols by The Sea 

9 December, 4pm to 8pm

Presented by Division 12 Councillor Pauline Young – City of Gold Coast, ‘North Burleigh Carols by the Sea’ will provide a festive mixture of children’s activities, food trucks and markets from 4pm to 6pm followed by Christmas staged entertainment including Carols, Community Groups and Live Music from 6pm to 8pm.

Carols by the Lake

11 December, 4pm to 8pm

Come celebrate Christmas on the waterfront this year with Carols by the Lake. Proudly brought to you by Division 11 Councillor Hermann Vorster – City of Gold Coast, this event will feature loads of free family fun including live stage entertainment, kids activities, water jet packs, delicious food, Christmas carols, Santa, and fireworks over the beautiful Lake Orr! Supported by Robina Lions, Hope Church and Varsity Lakes Rotary Club.

Nerang Celebrates Christmas 2021

11 December, 3pm to 8.30pm

Nerang Celebrates Christmas 2021 is a community event for local families with heaps to keep the kids entertained all night long, including $2 rides! Free Christmas entertainment kicks off from 3pm and Christmas Carols start at 6pm, with a fireworks display topping things off at 8.30pm. Food, drinks and other items available for purchase. Unlimited ride bands are available.

Pacific Pines Christmas Carols 

12 December, 4pm to 8pm

You won’t want to miss the super family-friendly Pacific Pines Christmas Carols at Central Park this December, with rides for the kids, a visit from Santa, face painting, delicious food options, markets, and awesome live entertainment. The night will finish up with a fireworks display.

Location: Central Park, Hotham Drive, Pacific Pines

Ormeau Carols 

12 Dec, 5pm to 9pm

Come along for a night of free rides, face painting and activities.  There will be food and drinks, photos with Santa and a live carol show. The night will finish with fireworks.

Coolangatta Christmas Carols

12 December, 4pm to 8pm

Coolangatta’s Queen Elizabeth Park will come alive with the spirit of Christmas on Sunday 12 December 2021, with the free Coolangatta Christmas Carols.

Attendees will be able to sing along to their favourite carols, enjoy spectacular festive performances, and settle in for a magical night under the Southern Gold Coast stars. Santa will be making an appearance by plane with plenty of entertainment for everyone to enjoy. The Coolangatta Christmas Markets and food trucks will be open from 4pm (Qld time), with the stage show starting at 5.30pm, and the event finishing with a fantastic festive fireworks display.

Paradise Point Bowls Club

12 December, from 12pm

Be sure to clear your calendar and roll up for the Paradise Point Bowls Club’s merry Christmas Carnival & Carols. Entertainment includes Nik Nat the Magician at 1pm, Christmas carollers from 5pm on the green (BYO blanket), jumping castles, animal farm, reptiles, face painting, plus 100 prizes to be raffled off including a tinny. Prizes drawn at 1.30pm, more at 2.30pm then 3.30pm before the major 5pm tinny draw. It’s a day so huge, even the big man Santa himself will be making an appearance. The proceeds will go to The Sanctuary and Pride of Bettermen Inc.

Christmas at the Park Coomera

19 December, 4.30pm to 7.30pm

Hosted by Robert James MC, Christmas at the Park Coomera is three hours of magic, with entertainment including Christmas Carols sung live by Lily Jade, Samara, Gabby B and Emmaleigh Walker, face painting, balloon show, Gold Coast Drumline, Make A Wish Foundation raffle, Tahnee and the Treehouse Dancers, Santa and Rudolph finale.

Full Moon Christmas Kirtan Party

19 December, 5pm to 7.30pm

There is nothing quite like a magical end of year Christmas kirtan party – a heavenly evening of sacred music, friendship, caroling, and celebration, all under the magical fairy light-filled tree at the Country Paradise Parklands. Let Ashraya and the Choir of Angels serenade you with songs of praise that will lift your spirits and warm your heart. Bring your friends and family and get ready for a night of true Christmas spirit. Bring a cozy blanket, your friends, a picnic and watch the full moon rise as sacred mantra music fills the air. $5 for adults, children 12 and under free.

Carols on the Broadwater 

20 December, 4pm to 7pm

‘Tis the Season to head to Southport Yacht Club for their annual ‘Carols on the Broadwater’, a family fun evening of live carols, face painting, games, and carolers overlooking the stunning Broadwater, with a Christmas-themed buffet for everyone to enjoy. Adults are $39 and kids are just $19. Make sure you stay around and watch Santa’s Jetpack show, as his big departure will be a night to remember for all. Table bookings are essential as this event always sells out.
