You'll find this year's Broadbeach hub for BLEACH* at 61 Sunshine Blvd, Mermaid Waters.
Located across the road from Pacific Fair and behind the Broadbeach Library, the Broadbeach Hub's impressive new venue snakes around and within the Broadbeach Cultural Precinct.
This year's Broadbeach Hub features an array of artists across multiple marquee tents, stages and moody rooms. Snuggled onto the riverbanks of the glistening Nerang River, explore a variety of epic performances at this incredible series of shows.
Over the next three days, this dazzling new location delivers a sensational series of comedy, drag, dance, music and circus acts. Here are just a few you won't want to miss.
Comedy
Ready to howl with laughter? Head down to hilarious shows including Poncho: Keep It Up, an absurd and raucous journey of storytelling and life advice you didn't know you need.
Or will it be Presentation is Everything, with the extravagantly overdressed comedians, Sweeney Preston and Ethan Cavanagh? Featuring a giggle-inducing PowerPoint presentation, the pair present the knee-slapping standup show following sell-out seasons across Australia and New Zealand, including sold out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for two years in a row.

Drag
A fabulous lineup of the most darling drag performances are set to razzle-dazzle a whole swag of stages.
Shows include YUMMY ICONIC, a raunchy burlesque-meets-circus performance scattered with seasoned drag acts. This multi-award winning troupe have toured to over 50 festivals around the world, garnering wide-spread love for their slick aesthetic and camp sensibility.
RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under season 2's own Beverly Kills takes to the stage in her wicked show, Heaven and Hell. Grappling with her untimely visit to the underworld, Beverly's show is part comedy, part cabaret and 100% drag.

Circus
Join renowned performer, Anna Lumb as she presents an immersive journey in Hard to Reach Places. Lumb invites attendees into the world of trials and tribulations of life as a woman, parenting, business, relationships, ageing and society's unrealistic expectations. This wickedly dark yet wondrously liberating solo performance lifts the lid on the idea that everyone has their life together and makes personal commentary on questionable life choices.

Dance
From cosmic nightclubs to cabaret shows that speak to immigrant experiences. Get ready for party central at the Broadbeach Hub.
For one night only, on 12 August, Bliss invites the LGBTQIA+ cosmic community, their allies and all alien lifeforms into an out of this world experience. This deep-space encounter is scattered with pop-up performances, psychic mediums and cheeky astronauts.
Punctuated by live performances, Social Muscle Club offers a mysterious delivery of party, games and stage prowess delightfully leaving you with lingering thoughts of self-discovery long after the curtain closes.

Film
Live music, independent comic cinema and a dystopian future. What's not to love?
Journey to a world taken over by smartphones with the satirical, Silence of the Jams. Watch on as Eddie Ray rides his motorbike through the Sunshine Coast's wild west to beat the machines with their only antidote – music.

Music
A smattering of impressive artists are set to amp up this year's Broadbeach Hub at BLEACH*.
Listen into Stiff Gins' harmony-melting soulful tunes, witness Qahwa's Lebanese sounds beneath a canopy of stars and trees and be serenaded by consciousness-raising hip hop artist, Kween G.
Or, roll out a picnic blanket to watch River Songs – Shugorei in awe as they perform from a floating barge in the Nerang River, which you'll listen to from wireless headphones. Combining Nozomi's Japanese background and Thomas' electric composition, this unique sound offers a memorable experience for those lucky to witness.

Getting there: This fresh venue is a mere 10-minute walk from the Broadbeach South tram station and has near-constant buses travelling to the Pacific Fair bus station. Or, make use of Pacific Fair's five hours of free parking.
