The September school holidays are in full swing this spring. Here are a bunch of hinterland activities to explore for little or no cost.
The sunshine and warm weather are not yet at peak scorching levels, so now's the perfect time to spend days out and about.
And what better way to make the most of our idyllic days than with a trip to the Gold Coast hinterland's sun-drenched, bountiful landscapes?
Our beautiful Gold Coast beaches aren’t the only way to keep the kids entertained during the countdown to term four – there are also a lot happening out in our stunning hinterland, too.

They will learn about where they live, what they like to eat, how some of them can change and why they play an important role in our ecosystems.

Check out neighbouring Bookness, a beautiful locally-owned bookshop and café. It's the perfect place for parents to relax while their kids craft it up.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here. But be quick! This workshop starts at 10am Wednesday 27 September.
