Get your relaxo on at the new Ranchero

Hola amigos! The Ranchero is here, and it's bueno.

Three Gold Coast creatives met in the Mojave Desert (USA) circa 2016 for ten days of partying celebrating life, music, creativity and arts, semi-nude at Burning Man.

On return to Australia, the then more or less strangers, became the three amigos when they on a whim, opened creative industry venue, Mo's Desert Clubhouse.

The venue has had its trials and tribulations throughout its five years of business, including pioneering a new industry development zone in City of Gold Coast's town plan as the first Creative Industry zone within the city.

Mo's has earned its right as Gold Coast's Music Venue of The Year two years running and offers a plethora of creative industry services to the wider community.

More than just an Americana Psychedelic Desert-inspired music venue sitting in the heart of the Burleigh Industrial Estate, Mo's fanbase continuously grows through the ongoing collaborations, innovations and community networking opportunities that it supports. The two-meter stained glass window in the middle of the licensed bar of Jim Morrison dressed as Jesus really amplifies that Mo's is a clubhouse for creatives, by creatives.

Now pegged as an Australian touring circuit staple for nationally and internationally touring acts, Mo's Desert Clubhouse continues to grow and support the Australian independent creative arts industry and its workers.

After many years of continuous development and improvements to The Clubhouse, the creative team at Mo's is excited to launch its new event space and licensed bar, The Ranchero.

The bar and outdoor garden is inspired by a mix of Mexico City culture, traditional hacienda vibes and of course, keeping in true Mo's style, the venue's favourite musical inspirations; This time Dolly Parton meets the Mexican Patron Saint, The Virgin Guadalupe.

The Ranchero (meaning The Rancher in Spanish) takes on its own personality in this eclectic new space with the concept that matter where someone looks, the old meets the new to create something unique.  With this ideology in mind, The Ranchero has undergone extensive renovations this year and is set to launch at 12 midday on 6 April.

The Ranchero will boast a carefully curated range of new and iconic cocktails including various styles of margaritas, sangrias and a signature tequila espresso martini. Available by the glass or the jug to suit those coming for a taste or for a fully fledged fiesta. The wine list has been carefully selected to provide an affordable yet outstanding wine list that boasts a number of natural, vegan and preservative free options. The Ranchero will stock a wide range of local independent beers, buddied by some staple breweries. All this will be complemented by street-food styled meals and platters available from onsite new silver-bullet food truck, Fix On 66 whose menu is an authentic representation of Southwest American-styled dishes.

The Ranchero will be open from 12 midday til late Thursdays through to Sundays for lunch and dinner services and drinks in-between. Friday sunsets have been pegged as prime time with live music and entertainment on the deck. The Ranchero is suitable for walk-ins, large groups, private functions and events, and will also be available to the ticket holders attending music events in Mo's Warehouse with the two spaces opening up to one another on gig nights, adjoining to become one space.

Whether it be for a knock off beer, cocktails with friends, a special event, to see your favourite touring band or just to get out and be social, Mo's Desert Clubhouse now has it all with the launch of The Ranchero.

The Ranchero is already booking well into the year, so keep an eye on the social pages to stay up to date with what's going on at the new space. Bookings can be made at www.mosdesertclubhouse.com/elranchero
