There’s a new bar in town, but not so new! TANK is the sibling venue to Scott Imlach’s Bine Bar & Dining in Nobby Beach, and once again, he has the set-up just right.
Executive Chef, Danny Fox talked to us about opening of TANK.
“Opening a new establishment is always a daunting task. But given we’ve been able to somewhat ride on the coat tail of our sister restaurant Bine Bar & Dining’s success, the transition to Tank has been seamless. We are excited to bring delicious, affordable, family friendly dining to Palm Beach as much as we are building a fantastic venue to enjoy it in.”
TANK is located in the heart of Palm Beach, straight across from the surf beach, so guests can wander up and enjoy a refreshing pint and a casual bite to eat or make more of a night of it.
TANK has 10 rotating craft beer taps showcasing local and international brews, and includes lagers, pale ales, IPAs and mids. Local breweries include Stone & Wood, Balter and Black Hops. There’s even a gluten free beer plus a couple of zeros.
Now let’s not overlook the wines and cocktails. There’s a great range of options with the wines, and an equally satisfying choice of cocktails – be sure to try the Pornstar Martini or the Chilli Margarita. Definitely something for everyone.
The food menu offers a delicious variety of options ranging from share plate Crispy Fried Mushrooms and Cauliflower Wings, to the mains of classic Rump steaks and Parmis. A culinary highlight was the Crispy Mushroom Bao. The menu caters for the GF, Vegan and Vegetarian diners, as well as the kids. Like big sister, Bine, TANK rocks the Happy Hours 3-6pm, Wednesday to Sundays. There’s also a Steak Night on Wednesdays and Parm & Beer Thursdays.
The atmosphere is chilled and laidback. Guests can drink and dine in a downstairs area that spills out onto the outdoor space, or enjoy the upstairs bar and dining area with broad windows that embrace the buzz of Palm Beach. TANK is open 3pm till late Wednesday to Friday, and from 12pm on weekends. There is live entertainment Fridays through to Sundays. You don’t need to book, just rock up for a drink and a nibble after work, or for a fun, casual dining experience.
