Currumbin Community Carols | 5 December from 5.30pm
The picturesque Currumbin Community Carols is the pinnacle of Southern Gold Coast carol fun, and will feature roving entertainment, laser light show, food vans, kids activities and of course, a visit from Santa himself! Be sure to bring the family.
North Burleigh Carols by The Sea | 8 December from 4pm
North Burleigh Carols by the Sea is back this December at Ed Hardy Park with an incredible line up of live stage entertainment, carol singers, market stalls, inflatable fun, food trucks, fireworks and much more. And of course the event featuring local schools, businesses, community groups, plus Santa, presented by Division 12 Councillor Pauline Young.
Studio Village Community Carols | 9 December from 4.30pm
You won’t want to miss the pantomime kicking off at 5.30pm, so come when gates open at 4,30pm to nab a top spot. Picnic rugs or camp chairs highly recommended. Bring a picnic of tasty treats for the fam and enjoy the carols from 6pm. Santa hits the stage at 7, and he may even bring a few friends along!
Nerang Celebrates Christmas | 10 December from 3pm
Nerang Celebrates Christmas 2022 is always a party worth checking out. This free central Gold Coast community event in Bischoff Park features $2 rides and games to keep the kidlets entertained, heaps of amazing food trucks, a sausage sizzle, playground and plenty of twirling sparkly things. Tonnes of music and maybe even a visit from Santa if you’re lucky! Stay for the fireworks at 8.30pm.
Elanora Carols in the Park | 10 December from 3pm
Bring your picnic rug and enjoy a fun, family friendly afternoon – sing along to all of your favourite Carols lead by professional singer Rhydian Lewis. The kids will have a ball on the jumping castle, dancing, face painting and later on watching a short movie. The man himself Santa will be there with photo opportunities for the children. Enjoy delicious meals and snacks from the food trucks and sausage sizzle hosted by the Lions Club. Funds raised from raffle ticket sales (great prizes on offer) and gold coin donations go 100% to Gold Coast charity – The Sanctuary Women’s, Children’s and Pet’s Refuge.
Carols by the Lake | 10 December from 4pm
The countdown is definitely on for Carols by the Lake. Presented by Division 11 Councillor Hermann Vorster, this popular and exciting annual Gold Coast event features a whole bunch of live stage entertainment, kids’ activities, water jet packs, tasty treats, and epic fireworks over Lake Orr. Oh, and Santa and carols, of course! Carols by the Lake is supported by Robina Lions, Hope Church and Varsity Lakes Rotary Club.
Christmas in Highland Reserve | 10 December from 5pm
The Highland Reserve Community Group will be hosting a variety of family friendly activities before their carole, including yummy food options available on site. Then from 6.30pm, CrossLife Upper Coomera Church and friends will host Simply Carols, a laid back singalong to some traditional Christmas Carol favourite. So come along, bring your picnic blanket, nibblies, chairs and enjoy a great time at Christmas in Highland Reserve. Presented by long time supporters Cr Donna Gates and Mark Boothman MP.
Southport Community Christmas Carols | 10 + 11 December from 4pm
SOPO has the caroling goods over the weekend of 10-11 December with their free annual community Christmas Carols. Enjoy a festive and joyful Christmas celebration, singing along to your favourite carols Gold Coast’s CBD. Head in early for free outdoor activities, face painting, sausage sizzle, bubble soccer, jumping castle and more, followed by a Christmas Carols production.
Pacific Pines Christmas Carols | 11 December from 4pm
Pacific Pines Christmas Carols is the whole package, with rides for the little ones, face painting, drool-worthy eats, markets, Santa, and awesome live entertainment. The carols will be headlined by Guy ‘Mutto’ Mutton from Australian Idol performing with former Ten Tenor Anthony Phipps and the Gold Coast Youth Choir.
Northern Gold Coast Carols | 11 December from 6pm
Previously the Ormeau Carols, the LJ Hooker Northern Gold Coast Carols is one of the largest carol events in South east Queensland. This year, the team have been hard at work preparing a show that brings the community together for a night full of Christmas memories. With a visit from Santa, sing-along carols, fireworks and so much more...you don’t want to miss out.
Coolangatta Christmas Carols | 11 December from 4pm
Coolangatta’s Queen Elizabeth Park will come alive with the spirit of Christmas with the free Coolangatta Christmas Carols event presented by Div 14 Cr Gail O’Neill. With live performances and entertainment, a range of your fave carols, food trucks and fireworks, it’s your one stop caroling shop on the Gold Coast this Christmas.
Carols in Coomera | 17 December from 4.30pm
Head to the Coomera Sports Park from late afternoon and get amongst all the entertainment on offer, including a festive kids’ show. Enjoy singing along to all the Christmas classics while you peruse the range of tasty food trucks. Get ready for a visit from the jolly fat man, too.
Carols on the Beach | 18 December from 4pm
Ex-Bachelor and media personality Matty J will be hosting this year’s hugely popular Carols on the Beach event at Surfers Paradise. Do you hear what I hear? Your all-time favourite Christmas carols will be performed in a 2-hour jolly celebration of song and dance by an all-Aussie line-up with one special international guest, travelling all the way from the North Pole! Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets will be hosting their special Christmas market along the foreshore with a curated collection of bespoke Christmas goods from 4pm and to top the night off, they’ll be a fantastic fireworks finale.
Christmas in the Park Coomera | 18 December from 4.30pm
Hosted by Robert James MC, Christmas at the Park Coomera presents four hours of seasonal magic, with entertainment including Christmas Carols sung live by Jubilee Choir, face painting, a balloon show, Gold Coast Drumline, Make A Wish Foundation raffle, Tahnee and the Treehouse Dancers and a Santa and Rudolph finale. A $15 ticket to this epic event guarantees you a seat reservation and one ticket into the Make a Wish Foundation Raffle.
Jacobs Well Community Carols | 18 December from 5.30pm
Gather your friends and family, and bring a picnic mat for a free night of carols sung by some amazing up and coming local artists on the oval at Jacobs Well. Children’s entertainment starts at 5.30pm, with the live choir and entertainment starting at 6pm. A special guest appearance will be from the Jolly Man himself, making plenty of time to greet all the children! Market stalls will be available selling their wares including a cake stall, glow items, raffles, food vans and plenty more.
Christmas Kirtan Party | 18 December from 5pm
There is nothing quite like a magical end of year Christmas kirtan party – a heavenly evening of sacred music, friendship, caroling, and celebration! All under the magical fairy light filled tree at the Country Paradise Parklands. Let Ashraya and the Choir of Angels serenade you with songs of praise that will lift your spirits and warm your heart. Bring your friends and family and get ready for a night of true Christmas spirit! Featuring one of Australia’s biggest kirtan bands Ashraya. BYO picnic, rugs and seats. Jingle & Mingle in the Valley | 18 December from 3pm
Presented by Division 14 Councillor Gail O’Neill and sponsored by Ken Jacob from Ray White in Tugun, this free family friendly event in Tally Valley is the perfect chilled Sunday sesh in the park with the local community. Food trucks, live music, kids entertainment and of course an appearance from Santa.
Carols on the Broadwater | 19 December from 4pm
Get the holiday season started with Southport Yacht Club’s Carols, right on the gorgeous Broadwater. There will be facepainting for kids and a live band singing your fave Christmas carols. If you want to hook into the Christmas-themed buffet you need to book ahead, but it’s well worth it at just $49 for adults and $25 for kids. Make sure you stick around for Santa’s jetpack show!
