Gold Coast World Surfing Legend Wayne ‘Rabbit’ Bartholomew launches Surf Exhibition at The Strand Shopping Centre.
Coolangatta Surfing tribal elder/ statesman and the Patron of the Gold Coast World Surf Reserve, Wayne ‘Rabbit’ Bartholomew AM, will launch a unique exhibition of his surfing memorabilia with a distinctive Coolangatta theme that takes in the Gold Coast World Surfing reserve locations at The Strand at Coolangatta this Wednesday 11 March at 11am.
The Surf Art Exhibition called 'The Cooly Surfing Collective' will be on display for the month of March/April month as surfing fans from all over the world converge on Coolangatta for the Corona Open Gold Coast from 26 March to 5 April.
The predominantly Coolangatta surf culture theme will feature photographs from the five generations of Coolangatta’s surfing history from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s through to the new millennials, Rabbits world title trophies, including club trophies from his club the Snapper Surfriders Club, and priceless memorabilia never seen before as a free exhibition.
Event Stylist Director of The Surfing Collective Karen Neilsen has added her magic touch and professional style to the Exhibition.
